The RV Service Advisor acts as the liaison between the customer and Company technician when service is required. The RV Service Advisor is responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their concerns about their vehicle, suggesting repair and maintenance services, selling new accessories or replacement parts as well as keeping the customer informed of the repair services progress. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct report to Service Manager Listens to the customer description of problems or service needed. Determines the type of service required and creates a repair order RO. Upsell customers for additional equipment and services. Prepare and present the customer with quotes for all repairs. Obtain customer authorization and signatures for all repairs. Present repair order to technicians Communicate with the customer and technician during repairs. Work with the technician to ensure the repair is complete. Answer service calls. Invoicing of RO's. Contact the customer for pick up or delivery Review work performed with client and ensure that secured payment is made prior to releasing serviced vehicles. Other duties as assigned by the manager. WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, at the shop division location. Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs. Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery. Normal range of hearing and vision. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a service writer or advisor. Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train and suspension is a plus. Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days and good standing MVR. Knowledge of computers is a must. Exceptional customer relation skills. Excellent verbal and communication skills Detailed oriented Excellent organizational skills.
