THE DOE RUN COMPANY Water and Sweeper Truck Operator - WATER01606-00001 in Boss, Missouri

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Water and Sweeper Truck Operator to perform grounds housekeeping operations in order to maintain a safe, clean environment that meets environmental standards. This position is at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO. Shift is Sunday - Thursday 7 AM - 3:30 PM (could change due to business needs).Responsibilities:Operate a truck wash, water truck and a sweeper truck in order to spread water and sweep grounds.Ensure tire wash is operating properly.Perform minor maintenance on equipment.Fill in as necessary for Yard Equipment Operator; safely operate yard equipment and assist with cleanup.Perform pre-shift inspection of truck.Perform minor maintenance, including tightening, lubricating and cleaning equipment.Assist in other facility operations when air temperature is below freezing or raining.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:One year of experience operating a water truck, sweeper truck or something equivalent.High school diploma or equivalent.Mobile equipment certification.Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.Valid, current driver's license.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of plant layout and traffic routes.Knowledge of fueling procedures.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear.Frequently exposed to vibration; occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat.Exposed to moderate noise levels.Regularly requires sitting, driving, and repetitive movement.Frequently requires grasping and reaching withhands/arms.Occasionally requires feeling attributes of objects.Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds; frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.Based in St. Louis, The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and one of the largest integrated lead producers in the Western Hemisphere.
