Hunter Engineering Export Logistics & Documentation Coordinator in Bridgeton, Missouri

Job Summary:

The Export Logistics & Documentation Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of daily global export duties in support of our International Sales organization. This position will be the primary support in completing export order entry, acknowledgements, and revisions. In addition, the Export Logistics & Documentation Coordinator is responsible for preparing shipping documentation, computing weights/dimensions, and acting as the liaison with freight forwarders and distributors.

  • Verify part numbers, discount structures, and special criteria for each distributor. Accurately input orders in the database and push into AS400.

  • Verify the AS400 order against the original order. Prepare acknowledgement form and email to the distributor.

  • Prepare order changes for all shipping locations. Send revised acknowledgement to distributor.

  • Prepare shipping quote for distributor for prior approval.

  • Prepare shipping release paperwork for all Hunter shipping locations, such as credit approval, bill of lading, airway bill, and invoice for shipping purposes.

  • Prepare final paperwork for distributor for billing, as well as clearance, based on country specific Custom’s documentation requirements.

  • Analyze Letters of Credit on receipt. Advise distributor if amendment is required. Contact advising Bank if necessary. Prepare shipping documentation in compliance with Letter of Credit.

  • 3+ years’ Export experience required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance or related field preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

  • Must possess strong math skills, strong customer service skills, and a good knowledge of geography

  • A detail-oriented professional who takes initiative in proposing solutions to challenges in export activities and procedures

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – i.e. Outlook, Excel, & Word

  • AS400 knowledge a plus

  • Bi-lingual a plus
