VIVA USA Inc Material Handler in Hazelwood, Missouri

Req Ref No: JPMOMH29 Location: Hazelwood, MO Duration: 18.0 months Description Job Description The Material Handler performs all shipping, material movement and receiving duties and confirms inventory levels. · Must be able to work in warehouse conditions with long periods of standing, climbing, bending, walking, and reaching in wide temperature ranges. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This is not a full-time forklift operator job. Will learn all facets of the warehouse operation. Must be able to operate material handling equipment. Overtime may be required. The work is fast paced and must be able to work under pressure. Must be efficient in a diverse range of functions. Poor performance results in the involvement of the Team Leader, Department Manager and/or Director – Supply Chain. · Must be proficient in computers with Windows OS environment · Must have experience entering data into WMS or data entry/typing experience elsewhere · At Least 2+ years of experience in an industrial warehouse environment, (not a Walmart warehouse or a bakery warehouse etc.) · Checks PO #s against incoming products to ensure correct items and # were received. · Check package weights and prepares carrier documentation. · May have to move finished goods from manufacturing to distribution storage rooms. · Maintains warehouse and work areas following 5S principles. · Receives and processes product from manufacturing or suppliers. Ensures parts are properly identified and labeled. · Stocks product after approval for use in a manner to maintain 5S, inventory accuracy and safety. · Know the ins and outs of inventory · Processes all required paperwork to ensure the material transactions occur for all departmental activities. · Participates in 5S audits. · Follows all departmental and company safety policies. · Maximize accuracy, minimize errors and increase inventory accuracy of all parts processed. · Comply with all GMP, ISO and FDA regulations for all warehouse activities. · Performs other duties as required. Qualifications and Requirements · High school diploma or equivalent. · Shipping and/or receiving experience. · Computer knowledge and experience with data entry and/or typing · Good close vision and hand dexterity for computer. · Good written and verbal communication skills. · Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with manager and others. · Ability to use material handling equipment such as a floor jack, hand truck, order picker, and forklift. · Shipping and receiving experience highly preferred · Should now inventory processes · Ability to work on ladders. · Ability to work on feet for long periods of time. · Requires mental alertness and attention to detail.
