WHO WE ARE:

Our Greetings Creative studios create thousands of greeting cards every year, and the Traffic Department plays a vital role in the delivery of every Greetings program. The Traffic Department is accountable for building feasible studio plans, staffing the studios with appropriate freelance support, developing pacing and execution plans and providing clear, concise communication to the studios on due dates and deliverables for every program.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re seeking a Traffic Coordinator to work with our Print-on-Demand and Digitally Enabled Greetings team. Traffic coordinators at Hallmark work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and are an essential component of our product development process. You will collaborate with each team member and create an environment that promotes a winning attitude.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Traffic Coordinator provides day-to-day operational support for work intake and scheduling, which includes tracking projects, recommending creative assignments, proactively identifying opportunities for trade-offs or reprioritization, and building and maintaining schedules for a variety of project types. You will focus on support for Print on Demand and Digitally Enabled Greetings product development, technical collaboration, and file delivery. You will lead weekly, cross-functional meetings with the product development team, supporting production partners, business partners, and team leadership, to communicate current issues, upcoming work, and workload planning. You will also represent the Creative team’s workload and product status to leadership on a regular basis. The Traffic Coordinator will be an expert on Print on Demand and Digitally Enabled Greetings creative nuances and workflow in order to effectively represent the Creative team in schedule development, cross-functional collaboration, staffing, and troubleshooting. You will maintain tracking tools to monitor Creative pacing, maintain robust forecasts, and proactively generate and share reporting on project highlights, team workload, and productivity. The Traffic Coordinator may cross-train to support additional teams and responsibilities, including digital greetings metadata and brick-and-mortar product development.

The POD/DEG Traffic Coordinator is responsible for approximately 40-50 different projects and 1 creative studio consisting of a leadership team (Art and Editorial Director, Creative Strategist, and Creative Planner) and 2 designers. You will have regular interaction with Production Design Supervisors, Creative Product Development Directors, and Digital Commercialization Merchants, as well as digital development partners and customer team representatives. You will play a vital role in the executional delivery of every program from strategy and feature development, to hand off to production design, to data flow, product setup and merchandising.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of professional work experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a project management, scheduling, or trafficking role

  • Current or prior role or experience requiring frequent use and proficiency with Microsoft Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Your resume will stand out if you have:

  • Advanced Excel skills in formulas, graphs, and formatting

  • 2+ years of client agency experience in account management or project management involving creative organizations

  • Knowledge of creative workflow and creative process

  • Strong interpersonal skills — able to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners

  • Problem solving, resourceful, organized, and detail-oriented

  • Adaptable – thrives in a consistently fast-paced, changing environment

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills — able to effectively lead meetings and presentations

  • Ability to identify and suggest process improvements

  • Ability to follow through on many requests from a variety of leadership members
