Parts Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quoting, all research and accurate pricing of parts.

  • Responsible for researching, locating the best source and ordering parts to insure that the correct parts will be delivered within time frame of the job requirements.

  • Responsible for entering parts on service jobs via computer system.

  • Responsible for insuring that the correct parts and correct quantity are ordered from the vendor.

  • Responsible for making sure that the parts arrive in a timely fashion according to urgency and timing of job completion.

  • Responsible for entering credit memos and ensuring that parts are returned if needed.

  • Responsible for seeing RGA’s through from start to finish.

  • Responsible for input on parts inventory as pertains to which items to stock, quantity and location.

  • Responsible for assisting with inventory control to include cycle counts.

  • Assists at the back counter for parts required by customers.

  • Responsible for handling customer problems and complaints.

  • Follow policies and procedures.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with some overtime required. This is an hourly position.

Job Requirements

Parts Technician

As a Parts Technician with MH Equipment, you must possess a positive attitude, superb verbal and written communication skills and great customer service skills. You must be able to communicate well over the phone, work successfully in a team environment and complete neat and timely paperwork:

  • Strong knowledge of material handling parts and accessories

  • Effective written and verbal communications

  • Flexibility and adaptability to various tasks assigned

  • PC computer skills

  • Typing skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Willingness to learn new tasks

  • Strong desire to succeed

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.

  • Regular and prompt attendance

  • Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.
